Purpose

Women in Technology is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating a community of women interested in technology. We aim to foster the personal and professional success of women by providing opportunities to connect, grow, and lead. 

Mission

We’re building a visible community of individuals supporting women in tech. We offer opportunities for networking and programs for members to learn about a variety of topics. Members also have the chance to work side-by-side with other intelligent, civic-minded women through our volunteer leadership positions.

The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.  

Girls Empowerment Network

Girls Empowerment Network’s mission is to ignite the power in girls by teaching them the skills to thrive and believe in their ability to be unstoppable.

Code2College

Code2College is a nonprofit organization committed to increasing the number of diverse and low-income high school students who enter and excel in STEM undergraduate majors and careers.

Nicole Pletka

President

Nicole oversees all aspects of the organization from member recruitment, community engagement, marketing, budgeting, operations, and event programming for all 600+ members.

Sharyn Leyendecker

Treasurer

Sharyn plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization. She oversees budget planning, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

Tammy Hunter

Secretary

Tammy has been instrumental in managing the organization’s operations. Her role includes admin management, and ensuring smooth operations.

Hanna Busekrus

Community Partnership Director

Hanna is committed to building lasting partnerships that advance the mission of empowering women in the tech industry and creating opportunities for them to thrive.

Regan Mashburn

Membership Director

Regan is passionate about expanding the organization’s membership network, focusing on creating valuable connections and resources that enhance member engagement.

Sarah Williams

Programs Director

Sarah oversees the development and execution of programs and events that align with strategic goals. She collaborates with various teams, ensuring each event delivers value to everyone.

Deirdre Barg

IT Director

Deirdre is a Software Engineer who led the development and migration of the Austin Women in Technology website using agile methodologies. She actively collaborates to iteratively build and enhance features, ensuring the platform remains secure and user-friendly

Leslie Dill

PR Director

Leslie handles the organization’s public image and communications. She crafts narratives to showcase achievements and manages media relations to boost the organization’s visibility and reputation.

Aspen Click

Sponsorship Director

Aspen is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with sponsors. She identifies sponsors, negotiates agreements, and ensures these collaborations align with the organization’s goals, providing mutual value and support.

Maddie Tooley

Marketing Director

Maddie drives the organization’s marketing strategies, focusing on enhancing brand awareness and member growth. She develops and executes campaigns that effectively communicate the organization’s value and engage the target audience.

Noopur Gupta

Emerging Technologies Director

Noopur is focused on researching emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation within the organization. She evaluates tech trends and provides insights to the organization.
